Sam Blok

Creative Director

Sam is an award winning graphic designer who started Blok in 2004, and for twenty years has established a reputation as a prominent visual communication studio renowned for its specialisation in art direction and design. With a focus on conceptual and typographic experimentation, whether in print or digital media.


Sam started her career working for Phaidon, Esterson Associates and Nick Bell, then she worked with her own clients, predominantly on large scale book projects. Over the last few years she spent time working in-house at Tate Gallery as a Senior Designer, Art Director for Caprice Holdings and as a freelancer for magazines at The Times, The Telegraph and the Financial Times. 

Sam's skills are in commissioning and working with the ideal photographers, set designers, illustrators, post production houses and other instrumental creatives and crafts practitioners, for realising campaigns and visual content.

Jane Scherbaum

Project Director

Jane is an experienced and versatile design consultant with senior level experience of leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex Museum projects. She brings a detailed understanding of brief development, the design process, programming, cost control and stakeholder requirements and is skilled in communicating with both non-specialists and specialists in design.


At the design kollektiv Jane leads on design consultancy and strategy as well as project management. Her skill lies in bringing together creatives from a variety of disciplines to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, mediating between clients and stakeholders to achieve the highest quality.


Clients include The Design Museum, The British Library, The Courtauld Institute of Art, The British Museum, V&A Dundee, Sainsbury Centre of Art, BAFTA, The Ashmolean Museum, the Nobel Peace Centre and National Museum (Oslo) and Kunstsilo Museum (Kristiansand).

Adrian Wolfson

Adrian is an award winning DOP, whose experience and integrity can be seen throughout his work, be it commercials, narrative, music, fashion, documentary or corporate imagery.


Adrian has been on a creative journey working in interior design, architecture, music, photography and video. Assisting some of the worlds most influential portrait, fashion and advertising photographers including Nadav Kander, Nick Knight, Jurgen Teller and Solve Sundsbo.


Adrian has over 20 years producing shoots from pre production through to final delivery to clients. He brings a fresh approach to every project, meticulously crafting light with an attention to detail ensuring a well crafted aesthetic of the subjects and stories he captures.
